Ken Vandeyacht – Owner/Chef: [email protected]
Born and raised in Combined Locks, WI, Ken made a late-in-life career change by attending the Culinary Arts and Hospitality programs at FVTC. Along with his degree in Culinary Arts, he is certified through the American Culinary Federation and certified as a Chef of Fine Wines through the International Wine Guild. After earning his ‘chops’ in a couple of kitchens around The Valley, Ken repurposed the vacant Marcus theater in 2005 and opened his own banquet facility. Today you can find him in the kitchen preparing some of your favorite dishes or dropping off some sandwiches or cookies at a local business or breaking out his tools to build or repair something on property. Either way you will get the sense of his ‘hands-on’ approach and eye for detail.
Sue Lamers – Executive Assistant and Event Coordinator: [email protected]
Born in Appleton, Sue was another ‘late-in-life’ career changer. After 27 years in health care, she found her passion for event planning and sales. With over 17 years of experience now in this hospitality role, Sue’s biggest joy still is helping her customers have a confident, stress-free experience when holding their event from booking the event to the final bill. Sue is a charter member and co-founder of a Northeast Wisconsin wedding professionals group and current board member with WRA’s local Big Four Chapter and Director on the WRA state board. Sue’s vast pool of resources is truly a benefit to her customers.

They say you can tell the quality of a kitchen and its food by the length of time a chef stays with a venue. If that is the case, you are in good hands at Grand Meridian. Chef Joe has been with Ken and the Grand Meridian since September of 2005. Some of Chef’s happiest times are when customers request ‘something outside the box’ as he is proud to customize any meal or menu item.
